The Andosini and Hannibal

People have lived in these high Pyrenean valleys since the end of the last Ice Age, as finds at the rock shelter of La Margineda show. The Greek historian Polybius names the Andosini among the mountain peoples that Hannibal's Carthaginian army subdued in 218 BC, on its march from Spain towards Italy.
