Bantu farmers and the Bubi
Bantu speaking farmers spread through the forests of Central Africa during the last millennia BC and the first millennium AD. Some cross the sea to the island now called Bioko, where their descendants, the Bubi, become its first known people. On the mainland coast live the Ndowe and other groups. The Fang, today the largest group, arrive in the interior much later.
