Magan
The mountains of northern Oman are the ancient land of Magan, which ships copper to Mesopotamia in the third millennium BC. Underground water channels, the falaj, later allow oases to flourish along the Hajar mountains, and round stone tombs of the Bronze Age still crown the ridges at Bat.
