Privacy Policy

Atlas is operated by Nyx Intelligence Co. Ltd. ("Atlas", "we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

• Account data: email address and display name, if you create an account.
• Usage data: articles viewed, summaries opened, topics and countries followed, search queries, session length.
• Device data: device type, OS version, app version, and approximate city-level location derived from your IP address.
• Diagnostic data: crash logs and performance metrics.

What we do NOT collect

• Government ID or biometric data.
• Precise GPS location.
• We do not build an advertising profile and we do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA).

Why we collect it

• To provide and personalize your news feed and brief.
• To improve AI summarization quality.
• To fix bugs and monitor performance.
• To send the service updates you have opted into.

Third-party services

We share the minimum data needed with providers that run the service on our behalf:

• PostHog — product analytics, pseudonymized. Never sold or shared for advertising.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting infrastructure.
• RevenueCat, Apple App Store and Google Play — subscription and payment processing.
• We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Data retention

• Account data is kept while your account is active.
• When you use Delete Account, your profile and associated data are deleted immediately; residual backups are purged within 30 days.
• Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained for up to 24 months.

Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time.

• Delete: You > Privacy > Delete account (immediate, in-app).
• Export: request a copy at privacy@myatlas.news; we respond within 30 days.
• You may also correct your data or object to processing by contacting us.

Children

Atlas is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
