Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using Atlas, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. The service

Atlas is an interactive atlas of the world: a globe of the geopolitical situation today, how it has evolved since year 0, and the story of how each country's borders were drawn. It is built from publicly available historical and geographic sources, and some explanations are written with the help of artificial intelligence.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially redistribute content, and do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.

5. AI content disclaimer

Some maps, timelines and explanations in Atlas are compiled or written with the help of AI from publicly available sources. Historical borders are often approximate or disputed, and AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or unintended bias. It is not a substitute for scholarly or official sources, and should not be relied on for legal, diplomatic or other decisions.

6. Atlas Premium, subscriptions and payments

• Atlas Premium is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription (with a free trial where offered) and a one time lifetime purchase.
• In the iOS app, purchases are billed through your Apple App Store account. On the web, purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
• Manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple account settings, and a web subscription from Manage billing in your Atlas account. Premium is tied to your Atlas account, so it works on the web and in the app.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds for web purchases are handled by Paddle under its buyer terms.

7. Reporting & corrections

If a map, date, explanation or AI answer contains an error or inappropriate content, use the report control on the response, or write to us at myatlas.news/contact. We aim to review flagged content within 48 hours and will correct or remove inaccurate content.

8. Intellectual property

Atlas's branding, design, and underlying technology are owned by Nyx Intelligence Co. Ltd.. Third-party data and source material remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Limitation of liability

Atlas is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made based on content shown in Atlas, including AI-generated content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nyx Intelligence Co. Ltd. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to these Terms

We will notify you of material changes to these Terms via an in-app notice or by email.
